Terms and Conditions

1. For the excursion “The Northern Roads” the participant must have a valid motorcycle driving license, corresponding to the power or displacement of the motorcycle with which he participates in the excursion. The motorcycle must have a displacement of at least 250 cc, be functional and in good condition in terms of maintenance and service.

2. For the excursions “The North Challenge” and “The South Challenge” the participant must have a valid motorcycle driving license, corresponding to the power or displacement of the motorcycle with which he participates in the excursion. The motorcycle must have a displacement of at least 500 cc with off road capability, be functional and in good condition in terms of maintenance and service

3. The participant’s motorcycle must have a valid registration.

4. Participant’s motorcycle and/or participant must have third party accident and property damage insurance and carry with them throughout the excursion the green card provided by their insurance company.

5. According to the program of the excursion, which will be announced in time to the participants and will be posted on the website www.grmtours.com before the excursion starts. The cost of participation amounts to €264.99 per participant, per night including 24% VAT for accommodation in a double room for the excursion “The Northern Roads”. The cost of participation amounts to €249.99 per participant, per night including 24% VAT for accommodation in a double room for the excursions “The North Challenge” and “The South Challenge”. The participant is given the opportunity to choose between three different duration options for the excursion “The Northern Roads” and one duration option for the excursions “The North Challenge” and “The South Challenge”:

I. Full duration option tour, 11 nights with accommodation in three different cities (day 1 – day 12) with total cost €2914.89.
II. Reduced duration option tour, 7 nights with accommodation in the first two cities (day 1 – day 8) with total cost €1854.93.
III. Reduced duration option tour, 7 nights with accommodation in the last two cities (day 5 – day 12) total cost €1854.93.
IV. Full duration option tour, 10 nights with accommodation in different cities (day 1 – day 11) with total cost €2499,90.

6. The excursion program is subject to changes and modifications depending on weather conditions, availability of accommodation, accessibility of routes and any unforeseen events or for reasons of force majeure.

7. If some participants wish to stay in the same room, they must state this on the participation form.

8. If any of the participants wishes to stay in a single room, there will be an additional charge of €44.9 per night.

9. If one or some of the participants wish to stay in a junior suite, an additional charge of €69.9 per suite, per night, will be charged, depending on hotel availability. In all three cases above, each participant must declare his/her wish and choice in good time and at least one (1) month before the excursion.

10. The participant, whether driver or co-driver, must pay an advance payment of five hundred euros (€500) within two (2) weeks of submitting the participation application for it to be valid. The balance of the participation amount must be paid no later than one (1) month before the start of the excursion, otherwise the application will be considered invalid.

11. In case of non-payment of the remaining amount, the advance payment is not returned.

12. In case of cancellation of the participation by the participant, the deposit will not be reimbursed. The remaining amount, if paid, is returned up to one (1) month before the start of the excursion. Up to two (2) weeks before the start of the excursion, 50% of the remaining amount is refunded. After two (2) weeks no refunds can be made. Start day is considered the start day of the 11-night or the 10-night excursion.

13. In case of no-show, the participation amount is not refunded.

14. In case that the number of participants is less than six (6) one month before the start, the excursion is canceled, and the entire amount paid is returned.

15. In case of cancellation of the excursion at the responsibility of the company, the entire amount paid is returned.

16. The company undertakes the responsibility to provide accommodation in a four (4*) or five star (5*) hotel and to provide: Breakfast in a hotel or in the accommodation, Lunch in a local tavern and Dinner in the hotel or in a local tavern and the farewell dinner at the end of the excursion in a restaurant. Accommodation for the 11-night and the optional 7-nights excursion “The Northern Roads” will be in the cities of Ioannina, Kastoria and Thessaloniki. In case that a participant is unable to follow the excursion program either due to illness or for personal reasons, the company undertakes the obligation to provide food at the hotel where the group stays and only.

17. The company undertakes the responsibility to provide accommodation in a three (3*), four (4*) or five star (5*) hotel and to provide: Breakfast in a hotel or in the accommodation, Lunch in a local tavern and Dinner in the hotel or in a local tavern and the farewell dinner at the end of the excursion in a restaurant. Accommodation for the 10-night excursion “The North Challenge” will be in the cities of Metsovo, Kastoria, Sidirokastro, Dasiko Chorio Erimanthou, Komotini, Orestiada, Kavala, Veroia, and Elassona. Accommodation for the 10-night excursion “The South Challenge” will be in the cities of Ioannina, Elati, Karpenisi, Galaxidi, Kalavrita, Tripoli, Kalamata, Patra. In case that a participant is unable to follow the excursion program either due to illness or for personal reasons, the company undertakes the obligation to provide food at the hotel where the group stays and only. For the overnight at Dasiko Chorio Erimanthou the accommodation will not be at a three (3*), four (4*) or five (5*) hotel or accommodation.

18. The company undertakes the obligation to facilitate entry to museums, archaeological sites, caves, lakes, churches and other points of interest included in the excursion program. The costs are borne by the company.

19. The company will provide tours carried out by a professional guide throughout the excursion “The Northern Roads”.

20. The company will provide tours carried out by a professional guide on occasion for the excursion “The North Challenge”.

21. The company will cover any motorway toll expenses.

22. Participation in services and activities that are not included in the tour program or described as options are not covered by the company. In case that the participant chooses in a day of the programmed excursion not to follow the convoy but to participate in one of the services or the activities that require a long stay away from the convoy he/she will meet the rest of the group at the hotel after completion of the activity and the daily program of the group.

23. The fuel tank will be filled on the way back to the hotel so that there is no loss of time when starting the next day of the excursion. The cost is borne by the participant.

24. Alcohol consumption although not recommended for road safety reasons cannot be prohibited entirely but will be limited to one (1) bottle of beer or one (1) glass of wine per driver during lunch. Violation of this rule more than one (1) time and after a relevant warning has been given, leads to permanent expulsion from the event without refund.

25. During the dinner, the consumption of beer, wine and/or other alcoholic beverages relies upon the responsibility of the participant. Exceptions are the welcome dinner and the farewell dinner where the consumption is borne by the company.

26. Safe driving behavior is essential. Behaviors such as driving skills show off, wheelies, endo, overtaking within group and aggressive driving in general are not tolerated. Violation of this rule more than one (1) time and after a relevant warning has been given, leads to permanent expulsion from the event without refund.

27. Decent behavior in accommodation, eating and visiting areas is essential. Violation of this rule more than one (1) time and after a relevant warning has been given, leads to permanent expulsion from the event without refund.

28. The program of the excursion “The Northern Roads” is adapted to touring and getting to know mountainous Greece. The best possible effort has been made by the navigation team to use the most suitable paved routes for this purpose. However, due to weather conditions or other reasons, beyond any forecast, the program is subject to changes and alterations. A day trip may be canceled, based on the safety of the participants and their vehicles.

29. The program of the excursion “The North Challenge” is adapted to touring and getting to know mountainous Greece. The best possible effort has been made by the navigation team to use the most suitable paved and dirty routes for this purpose. However, due to weather conditions or other reasons, beyond any forecast, the program is subject to changes and alterations. A day trip may be canceled, based on the safety of the participants and their vehicles.

30. The routes posted on the website are indicative and may be partially modified depending on the circumstances. The alternative routes that will be chosen according to article 4 of the Terms and Conditions will be announced to the participants in time at a meeting that will take place at the hotel every day 15 minutes before dinner.

31. In case that the conditions for riding a motorcycle will be prohibitive and always in consultation with the participants, the daily excursion program may be carried out in a minivan provided by the company.

32. The group’s navigation and escort team consists of two motorcycle drivers with a distinctive orange colored vest and an escort car. The participant is obliged to comply with the instructions of the supervisor, the navigation and the escort team during the excursion.

33. The participant is obliged to comply with the instructions of the police and/or other competent authorities during the excursion.

34. The navigation team has chosen the routes for the 11-night or the optional 7-night excursion “The Northert Roads” in such a way that approximately 230 km are covered per day.

35. The navigation team has chosen the routes for the 10-night excursion “The North Challenge” and the 10-night excursion “The South Challenge” in such a way that approximately 400 km are covered per day in paved or dirty roads.

36. During the excursion, the group will be followed by an escort car with a trailer suitable for transporting motorcycles or a by vehicle with the capacity to load a motorcycle inside, to the nearest repair shop in the event that one of the participants’ motorcycles suffers damage that will immobilize it and if of course the participant wishes it. This does not oblige the company to provide on-site technical support and does not make the company liable for the repatriation of the motorcycle and the participant to his country of permanent residence.

37. In case of infection of any of the participants with Covid-19, the current health protocols will be followed. In this case the participant is expressly excluded from the rest of the excursion.

38. The participant understands and agrees that participating in an excursion on a public road is dangerous and may result in accidents with minor or serious injuries and even death, damage or even total loss of the motorcycle and its accessories. irrevocably indemnify and forever hold the Indemnified Parties harmless from and against all costs and expenses (including legal costs), actions, proceedings, claims, demands and damages arising from a breach by myself or my fellow team members of the undertakings contained herein or arising from any act or omission of myself or my fellow team members. Without prejudice to the foregoing the participant further acknowledges and agrees that:
He/she will undertake to the Indemnified Parties (the company) to be liable for any death or personal injury to third parties, damage to property or any other claims, losses, costs (including, without limitation, all legal costs) or demands arising out of any negligent or wilful act or omission by myself whether arising during my participation in the excursion otherwise; and under no circumstances will any of the Indemnified Parties (the company) be liable for any actual or alleged indirect loss or consequential loss howsoever arising suffered by the participant or any other third party including, but not limited to, loss of profits, anticipated profits, savings, business or opportunity or loss of publicity or loss of reputation or opportunity to enhance reputation or any other sort of economic loss.

39. In this excursion, the following do not apply: presidential decree 7/2018 nor any relevant European directive apply, since the Event is not an organized excursion within the meaning of article 2 of the presidential decree number 7/2018 but a motorcycle tourist trip, under the organization, supervision and auspices of our company. For this reason, our company is not responsible for any change or cancellation or addition to the excursion program which is susceptible to changes and modifications depending on the weather conditions, the availability of accommodation, the accessibility of the routes and any unforeseen events or reasons of force majeure. Our company undertakes that any changes (apart from cancellations due to unforeseen or force majeure events) will be insignificant and will not affect the character and style of the excursion, which aims to provide alternative motorcycle tourism and get to know of the participants with the uncrowded beauties of Greek nature.
